Expeditions in Northern Norway

The boat can accommodate up to eight overnight guests. It has one 4-person cabin and two 2-person cabins. There are also two bathrooms, a galley (kitchen), and a booth (dining area) onboard. In addition, there is space for relaxing on the lower deck, and outside on the main deck.

Fishing Trip with Accommodation
Trio II was originally a fishing boat that housed 6-7 fishermen for several months at a time. On an overnight trip, you will get insight into the life of a real Lofoten fisherman. Learn to use the traditional fishing equipment juksahjulet (jigger wheel) and how to prepare the catch of the day. In the evenings, you can explore the region’s fishing villages, known as “fiskevær”.

Northern Norway Expedition
During the herring migration, you can experience orcas and other whales up close. During this expedition, you will also get the opportunity to snorkel with these majestic animals. After the morning activity, a good meal awaits you on board, and in the evening, you can enjoy the silence and northern lights under the starry sky.

Tailor-Made Trips
With the Trio II as your base, you can create your own customized trip itinerary. Combine different activities such as fishing, walking, whale watching, skiing, or hiking in the mountains. The weather and wind conditions change quickly up here in the north, so the exact trip itinerary can’t be given in advance, but we can guarantee that you’ll have the best Lofoten experience possible based on your preferences. It’s up to you to choose how many nights your group wants to spend onboard, but we recommend a minimum of three nights.
